Everyday since I went back home, it's been raining everyday, all day, day and night. This makes me feel uncomfortable to go to many places as well as doing fun things. But apart from all these, my family and I felt very worried and intense thinking about the possible flood.
Last four years we had this experience and struggle to fight floods. The water kept come in into the house that we lost courage to stop them. My mom tried her best to obstruct the water from flowing in with papers and clothpieces. So did my siblings, they lifted up all the machines and valuable stuff so that they wont be drifted away by the flood. We failed. As a result, we lost thousands for the cleaning works and to replace all the expensive tiles. Not to forget, the damages we had for the furnitures. The water level at that time was about half metres and we were able to see many creatures including SNAKES swimming in our beloved house. REaLLy, TeriBblY scARy! So we ended up staying only at the second floor. That was our first experience with banjir and we felt really sorry to ourselves.
............................................................... (That was the last and we haven't been in banjir again for 3-4 years)
BUT yesterday, the water level was again aroused our terror feelings for banjir. We closely were affected to it when our porch was filled with heavyflowed water and my mom quickly had to park the car somewhere high. I kept praying to God for don't wanna be involved in banjir anymore. As for precautions, we brought up fabric cushions and light stuff upstairs as well as elevated some furnitures and sofas. We couldn't sleep for the whole nite because we were afraid, the water might get into the house. My youngest brother was still a small kid and he couldn't feel anything dreadful about it. He joined the neighbour to jump into the water and menyibuk dekat pakcik2 in this housing area finding solutions and did some pantau2. The JPS and Police volunteers also strived hard to make sure everything was fine and in a good condition. The next morning when I woke up from a short nap, I was happily found that the water has emptied the land. Yeay. We did not be in the banjir. I hope today and coming days will be the same. The rain? Let it falls down but please, pretty please jangan la sampai banjir. Amin.
Tomorrow my mom promises to take us for a special breakfast if there is no "air" kat depan. Yeay.
